Decathlon Training, March 2009

Sorry it's been so long since I've posted. This may go down as the longest stretch without a post since we started this thing 3 years ago. Anyway...

Decathlon training is going well other than a few mishaps of struggling to connect mind and body. It turns out those two are married and don't work well apart from each other. I seem to be coming out of it this week and am connecting well. I just tossed a small mix of footage together from this past month of practices. I'll try to get my camera out to practice more and keep you up to date with track meets that will be going down in the next few weeks.

I had a couple of small meets this month. They were hit and miss, but I did have my fastest season opener ever in the 100m dash and I had a small p.r. in the shot put! Hopefully I will have many more similar reports in the near future. Thanks for tuning in.

Lol, that running workout was posted specificly for you and Michael. That grounds guy in lane one wasn't moving as my coach was yelling "TRACK" and all I was thinking was, "You better move dude, cuz I'll plow into you before I break stride. I've done it before, and I'll do it again." Ahh the memories of those who won't get out of lane 1. Lol.

Btw, that was the 4th of 4x400m at 56 secs. It was a near death experience.

A nice forearm shiver to the forehead would have moved those boys from the track on your 400m run.
