Poll the crowd

1. How many states in the U.S. have you been to/through?

2. Which did you enjoy the most? Why?

3. Which state that you have not been to would you most like to visit?

There Liz, are you happy?

2. Washington and Colorado. The state landscapes are simply beautiful. In terms of the united states, I think the views there are breath-taking. Estes Park, Mt. Renier...Puget Sound. Gorgeous, man.

3. Maine.

2. California- you've got the ocean, the redwoods, the San Diego Zoo and the sun...all the time.
3. I can't just pick one! Hawaii, Arizona, New Mexico.

2. Wyoming- big skies, low population, the Tetons, very diverse landscapes. I'm guessing Montana is even better, but I've never been there.

3. The Carolinas- I'd like to see old plantations and all the east coast tree species.

Also, Maine- I've always had a strange desire to own and live in a lighthouse on the bluffs up there
Besides Florida, I've never been to the eastcoast

Has anyone else told Amy that Australia is not a state, or am I the only jerk who noticed?

1. 29(I think you got me on Washington, Bighead, but I got you on Hawaii)

2. Utah, because the state is entirely covered in rock, and it's not crowded, and Hawaii, because it feels like you are another planet- the ridgelines, the horizon, the underwater life.

3. Alaska

jonathandy said...

Ha- I also have you on Alaska!

...and Kings Canyon :)

1)33 states
2)Washington. Seattle, in particular, is a gorgeous place, especially in the summertime. Seeing the mountains in the distance and the sparkling water only blocks from my house, is still a breathtaking sight.
3)Maine sounds nice, I hear it's lovely in the fall. :o)

And...neither one of you has lived on the side of a volcano....or in the rainforest.

Yes I know Australia is not a state, but if i've been to all I REALLY want to go to, why not venture out and maybe see some penguins on the way?

Thanks for the positive feedback Joyce!
