UPDATES!!

TRAINING:

I'm still mostly in the weightroom learning all the new stuff with olympic lifts, kettle balls, crazy abs, etc. Actual track practices begin next week. There are also plenty of hills, stairs, and beaches to be run out here. I'm sore most of the time still, which I guess is good news?

JOB SEARCH:

Sandy is at an interview as I type. She has many more interviews on the calendar, but we are

hoping this one is a go. We are going the nanny route for the most part, mixed with a few sales and receptionist positions. We are trusting the Lord will provide soon, as two consumers with no paychecks can't last forever. I will possibly be connecting with a man doing similar stuff as I did in Bend with finding and bidding home service jobs. I have also been given an invitation to gain profits from a supplement company (more to come later) and am waiting back for a response from a potential corporate sponsor.

Like her new glasses?

CHURCHES:

The search continues as we walk out back doors and share the raised forehead, big-eyes look. There is one church that we are more than wanting to serve in, but we are doing our best to be patient and not make any rash decisions. In the mean time, we are growing in perspective of the city and in our perspectives of effective church life.

FRIENDS:

nope.

just kidding, we have one... maybe two. The church we are hoping for has great people who have gone out of their way to take us to dinner, see the city, etc.

Also, the Wilson's came to S.D. for vacation. We had a great time with them as they took us down to Mexico. We enjoyed what Brian called a "Motel 5" together, though the front desk considered it a 4 star hotel. We also got to see Jeff and Brandy Chellette. It was nice to enjoy old friends-- not that they are... uh,... nevermind.

LIVING PLACE:

We are still living with Carol in her condo. She is awesome. She's gone a lot, which has allowed us to feel like we have our own place. As soon as Sandy finds a job, we will move out. We are very grateful for her help, but don't want to wear out our welcome. We have scanned the city and have narrowed our desired location down to a few neighborhoods.

TRAVEL:

We take off tomorrow morning to go back to Bend for the weekend. We are in the wedding of Caleb and Ashley Brown (Sears) which takes place on Monday. We can't wait to see our friends and our old town. There are few places like Bend, Oregon. We will be there at least until monday afternoon. Sandy can't stop talking about visiting her previous employment, as well as connecting with all our friends.

Well, that's all for now. I will leave you with this little treat we had the pleasure of enjoying at the beach last week:

Please pray for Jonathan and Sandy! They have had an accident in Los Angeles. The car is totaled, Sandy is in pain and Jonathan has had a head injury neck injury and back injury. I don't know any more details.

We Praise God! Both have been released! They are in pain and do not have a car right now, but we delight in the fact that prayers have been answered and our children are not staying in the hospital overnight. We have discovered friends there and they will be caring for our kids tonight. Thanks to all of you who got your prayer chains going!
