Thanksgiving was great. We spent most of our week in Santa Barbara, north of L.A. We stayed with Seth Stimson's aunt and uncle. It was a fascinating experience to spend the holiday with a Jewish family. We got to see all the rituals, songs in hebrew, etc. of preparing for the Sabbath, and in the process made close friends with some very loving people.
A DOGGON' GOOD TIME
We had lots of fun with all the dogs out on the farm for part of the week. It was love at first sight for Sandy and the bulldog pup. She was out of control with that little guy, as you can imagine. If anybody's interested, he's available for the "incredibly low" price of $1,500!
We also got to see Rhett and Lori Hanson who went to college with us. He's a high rankin' officer in the Marines and is stationed in San Diego. (sorry we didn't get a better picture of you guys) It was good to catch up with some mnu alumni...
And much to my dismay, Sandy is begging that the following pictures be posted. For some reason, EVERYONE (especially Sandy) got a big kick out of the fact that I was late (and a little out of it) on the "1-2-3 Jump!" instuction for the group picture. You'll notice Sandy isn't in the picture. She chose not to scale the steep gravel hill (on request of John and Christina's previous post about her getting rest ;)

That's the funniest picture ever...hopefully you get the timing issue straightened out before the Olympics. It may pose a problem for you...
